Metals
Various metals are used in today's embroideries - cut into shapes, strips or embossed. All our metals can be cut with scissors.
Metallic Foils These are thin layers of metallic plastic fused to a sheet of cellophane. You apply a liquid glue, eg Foil Glue, or fusible web, eg Vliesofix or a bonding powder, eg Supermend, to your fabric, then iron the metallic foil to the adhesive. We now have 43 colours to choose from. Also available is our intro kit which contains instructions and ideas plus eight pot luck sheets each 15cm x 15cm, two from each colour category. Hot Spots Sheets As used by Kim Thittichai in her book Hot Textiles. Hot Spots are tiny dots of glue on a backing sheet. Use with foil and gilding flakes. Excellent for design sheet work, collage, scrap-booking etc. Four sheets of 30cm x 20cm in each pack, 2 sheets small spots, 2 sheets large/medium spots or choose your own mix. example

Woven Wire Tube A very fine wire woven in such a way that the tube can be shaped and distorted. It will hold its shape and is stable enought to create necklaces or to use in so many exciting ways. Thread things through it. If you don't like the effect, you can pull the tube lenth and it will return to its original shape. Flat width is 6mm. colour chart pictures
