Silk Jewels are the caps cut off from silk cocoons during production. They are real gems, as they are picked up by hand from the floor of the production facility during production. The same procedure awaits us after the jewels come out of the washing machine. Then all the jewels have gotten tangled up in the threads loosened by the washing and have to be plucked out individually… like North Sea garnet, just not as tasty.
