Painter's Crewel Wool is a two ply, combed, non-strandable 100% lambswool. Like all animal/protein fibres, it has a wonderful refraction of light, giving beautiful colour effects. The soft, light sheen material is suitable for all textile techniques and makes a nice contrast to other embroidery threads. An ideal product for blanket stitch appliqué, needlepoint or embroidery where a subtle sheen and colour change are important.
It is recommended you cut your strand approximately 45-56 cm to prevent wear.

The base thread is a product from Italy; Bella Lusso, which translates to "beautiful luxury". These are threads which make every textile heart beat faster!
