Mica Flakes
Natural, heat resistant mica flakes are archival and acid free. Adhere them with tape or clear-drying adhesives. Ideal for hot melt craft, mosaic work, paper arts, assemblage accents, home décor and jewelry projects. Trap in your layers, use in your needlefelting or adhere them to a surface. 16 colors available.

Not quite a powder or flake, but similar results from this product. A clear gel containing tiny light reflecting particles, with a very opal appearance. You can use it by itself, or use on top of a painted surface. Suitable for a variety of surfaces, including paper, card, glass, acetate, canvas, wood, terracotta and fabrics including silk. It is quite dramatic when painted over darker colours.

Sparkling heat resistant flakes that do not melt when heated, and retain their shape. Use on top of, or mixing into, wet glue, wet acrylic paint or wet fabric paint.

Sprinkle over glue or embossing powder and heat gun, or spinkle on while the powder is hot. Also trap between layers of chiffon and fusible webbing.

These metallic flakes are packaged by volume in large 440 cc jars. Eight colour themes. These flakes can be used in any number of ways, from traditional gilding techniques, use as inclusions in papers etc. to layering and application with adhesives.

Frozen opals are sparkly and crystal-like. Use them on fabric and paper (especially strong coloured backgrounds) The 'Opals' are a sheet of iridescent film suspended in a translucent meltable base. Break a small piece from the sheet, position it and hold in place with tweezers and heat for about 20 seconds with a heat gun. The base becomes transparent. Also use them with embossing powders and in Clear or Black UTEE to great effect. Comes in Iridescent, Gold, Copper, Rainbow and White Shimmer.

Magnificent heat sensitive foil. Shimmery, sparkling, with rainbow hues gracefully running through them. These metallic foils will adhere to any warm surface. Simply place on a warm surface and heat carefully with a heat gun (not much heat needed). The foils can then be pressed with a stamp or worked into with a soldering iron.

- super fine powdered metals. In order to use these powders you must mix them with a fabric medium which will adhere the powders to whatever surface you wish to decorate. Can also be mixed with water colours and acrylics to create a metallic paint appropriate to the desired use.
Because these are real metals they can be burnished, but will also tarnish if exposed to moisture without a protecting medium.

From LuminArte, the Primary Elements are brilliant ground colours mixed with sparkling mica pigments - mix them with 'Simple Solutions' (see below) or any other medium and apply as a paint, or mix with any liquid or rub onto surfaces such as polymer clay.
Mix with one part Polished Pigments to 2 parts Simple Solutions to make your own shimmering acrylic paints. Create a soft sheer look by adding more Simple Solution.
Simple Solution #1 is for use on fabric, glass and leather. Simple Solution #2 is for use on paper, plastic or walls. Simple Solution #3 is for use on polymer clay, wood and terra cotta.
