'Encrustation'

Details
From the Introduction:
'Encrustation' is a follow-on to our successful first book 'Bevond Boundaries'. Both books provide reminders, suggestions, experiments and challenges for the experienced embroiderer. In 'Encrustation' we encourage you to create your own fabrics, then to take it further by richly encrusting and embellishing it. Finally we suggest ideas to stimulate you into new ways of using your fabrics and offer various challenges for those all important finishing touches

From Ruth Issett:
The Fibrefusion group is aware that there is a need to demystify and to share ideas and experiences. Beyond Boundaries began that process and now Encrustation adds further informative and imaginative communication. It is brilliant that Fibrefusion have decided to focus on Encrustation, all those wonderful crunchy, knobbly, and embellished surfaces in one book!

Their energy and generosity in communicating all the techniques, methods and materials they have explored and experienced is inspirational. It is one thing to share ideas and techniques between friends, it is another to write guidance and instructions, to illustrate it and to actually publish it. Congratulations to the members of the group for their hard work and enthusiasm in producing another exciting book. I believe Encrustation will be a 'must have' to many textile enthusiasts, not just for the pictures but for the text as well.
