Projects
This workbook has twelve projects for you to complete. Each project begins with a simple starting point. A clear step-by-step approach shows how these can be developed creatively on the computer. The projects build progressively on the skills covered in previous projects. Additional tips are offered throughout the projects.
Though some of the exercises may appear to suit a particular field, with a little adjustment they can be adapted to suit a variety of designers' needs.
Software Used
All the projects were completed using Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0 and Jasc Paint Shop Pro 9. Some projects slightly favour one program over the other and the accompanying illustrations reflect this. However, other paint programs can be used. Although the names of tools may vary, their icons will be similar.
A digital camera or scanner is used in a few projects. Additional advice on both these subjects can be found in CTDG Workbooks 6 and 7.
