Zeelon is the newest heat distressable fabric. Like Evolon it can be dyed with acid dyes, like Lutradur it can be distressed with a heat tool. You can do most of the things that you do with Evolon & Lutradur such as using transfer dyes and painting and printing and stitching BUT now you can dye it with hot water acid. It can be coloured with any water colour paint, and because of its ultra smooth surface, it can be sculpted and etched with a Creative Versa Tool.
One of the surprising aspects of this fabric is its ability to absorb moisture therefore using any water based paints, such as the Koh-i-nor dye paints will give exceptional colour.
Zeelon has an unusual property in that the fibre will swell up when wetted, but will settle back when dry, and because the structure is not as ‘webby’ as say Lutradur, it has a much more even surface.
